Google Search Mexico
For this campaign, we wanted to embrace one of the most valuable things in Mexican culture: human validation — the recommendation your mom, family, friends, or even your hairdresser gives you. Sometimes these recommendations can be a little confusing and not always precise. But when paired with Google, they become the best you can get. That led us to our concept: You find the best people in Mexico. The best places? Find them on Google.
We came up with three special characters to represent the amazing people of Mexico: Doña Toñita, Julio Jugos, and Pati Peluquera.
Doña Toñita, a charismatic ponche vendor in the city park who knows exactly (not quite) where to find the best shops to buy a piñata for your fiesta.
Julio Jugos, a friendly juice vendor who runs his trailer and is always ready to help you find a suéter navideño as amazing as his.
Pati Peluquera, the hairdresser who, besides being a great listener, always knows the best places to find the perfect regalos for your loved ones.
But our characters don’t stop there — they still have many recommendations to share, so we explored additional stories in a series of 15 second films.
For social, we went bananas and gave our characters an alter ego. Doña Toñita became Mama Rapera and Pati Peluquera became Pati Reggaetonera — shredding recommendations as Google-powered human recommendation machines.
